The moment you step onto a balance board, you feel everything.
When we were developing the UCHAIUP balance board, we tested a lot of materials — MDF, bamboo, pine. We kept coming back to maple. Not because it's the cheapest option (it isn't), but because it's the right one.
Maple has a tight, dense grain structure. Under load, it doesn't flex or creak in ways that throw off your training. When you're doing squats or core work on the board, the feedback you get is honest — you feel your body moving, not the material giving way beneath you.
The surface holds up too. We sand it through multiple stages to get a matte finish that stays consistent over time. No roughness, no cracking, even with regular use and sweat.
The 3-in-1 setup — roller, half ball, and training ball — came from a simple observation: most balance boards end up in a corner after two weeks. One challenge, one difficulty level, and the novelty wears off. We wanted a board that grows with you. Start with the half dome if you're new to balance training. Switch to the roller when you're ready for a real challenge. Same board, completely different experience.
That's what UCHAIUP is built around. We thought you should know that from the start.
